Hi,

I've been trying to use almostVPN for around a week. It has sometimes worked, but I often get a "stale PIDs" error, in which case nothing works. I have the latest version of almostVPN (0.9.11) and the latest update of OSX 10.4.

I was previously using SSH Tunnel Manager to gain access to webtunnel.securenntp.com. I imported the info from it using your Inport button. I have never been able to get a green reading on the Test Account, even when almostVPN has been working properly. SSH Tunnel Manager continues to work properly, but, now, almostVPN doesn't work at all, failing repeatedly with the stale PIDs message. (Of course, I Quit SSHTunnel before opening almostVPN.) Clearing and reimporting all the data has no effect. How do I rid myself of the stale PIDs file?

I have searched for the log file using Find from the Finder and it is unable to find anything. Where is it stored?

tog2004, most likely, the reason you was not able to get "green" with "Test Account" is that "webtunnel.securenntp.com" does not allow "remote execution" (most of secure tunnel providers do that). The way "AlmostVPN" testing account will fail in such situation. This problem was addresses with ticket #128 (fixed for next release)

To be able to diagnose your "stale pid" problem I do need to see your log file. Look here to see how you can get to it. Once you enable extra logging, try to start/stop AlmostVPN profile until you get "stale pid" again. Than you can either attache log file to this ticket (Use "Attach File" button) or e-mail it to support@leapingbytes.com
