Description

I am using RC3

1. I bought a license, when I try to activate it asks for my sudo password, the activation button depresses, then pops back up and nothing happens, the activation field is blank again.

2. when configuring, it hangs all the time.

The platform is Mac OSX 10.4.7, PowerPC, Powerbook 12", 1.25Gb Ram.

I am attempting to VPN back to my home machine via two ADSL links (one at each end), the target system is also Mac OSX 10.4.7, Intel.

  • milestone changed from AlmostVPN 1.0 GA to AlmostVPN 1.0 RC3.

I hope my problems can be taken constructively, I paid for a license because I isee the promise in your product.

1. No installation instructions. No idea how to Install menubar.

2. Uninstallation doesnt uninstall preferences, they are still there on reinstall.

3. Frequently crashes preferences application.

4. Adding bonjour services acts strangely, they appear blank after a save.

Stephen, "constructively" is the only way I take any communications from a customer (be it complain or praise).

  1. RE: Menubar. I do not know why I did not do it before, but for next release (which is going to be 1.0 GA), menu bar installation will be handled from inside PrefPane. See Ticket: #268. Meanwhile, you can copy menubar to /Applications and than add it to your "login items" (System Preferences/Accounts/Login Items "+" ).
  2. Uninstaller packaged with RC3 does allow you to remove prefences (last check box), but it turned off by default. You need to explicitly select it.
  3. Have you got any crashed with RC3? If you do, I REALLY wan to see content of "Report Crash to Apple" window.
  4. I wonder if you can describe your problem with Bonjour in a little bit more details? Maybe you can make number of screenshots to demonstrate your problem?

P.S. Thank you very much for purchasing activation key. I do appreciate it a lot.
