upgrade from AlmostVPN to AlmostVPN/Pro

Description

When i installed the new Pro version, it found my existing AlmostVPN profile and imported it. It worked fine. But then I uninstalled the AlmostVPN, thinking I didnt need it anymore, since I had the pro version. Well that was a mistake. the pro version is looking for some AlmostVPN file and it doesnt work. I uninstalled pro, and reinstalled it, manually placed the values into it, but it still looks for a file it cant find. I'm using secure-tunnel.com service. Will the Pro version work with it? The reason I had tried the pro version is the older AlmostVPN wasnt working anymore.

Randy, the only piece of configuration which used by 1.0 (pro) and 0.9.x is so called "master password". Unfortunately, 0.9.x uninstaller will wipe out this password as a part of un-install process. Still, it should not be "fatal" for 1.0. Without "master password", you will loose all your passwords, but you should be able just re-enter all the passwords once and never have problem again (1.0 will generate new "master password" if it can not find "old" one ).

What makes you think that 1.0 missing some files? What do you see in the AlmostVPN log file?

AlmostVPN 1.0 should work with secure-tunnel.com service without any problems. The only "trick" is that you may need to select "use host name as-is" option on the secure-tunnel.com related tunnels.
