Almost VPN Version 0.9.8 Release Notes
What is New
It looks like quite a few AlmostVPN customers are employing Dynamic DNS services to access they SSH servers. As of 0.9.8, AlmostVPN will verify IP address for SSH server every time when profile gets started from Preference Pane
NOTE: if you start profile from Widget or Menu Bar, this verification WILL NOT HAPPEN. IP addressed resolved during LAST start via Preference Pane will be used.
AlmostVPN on Tiger now employes two more options:
These two options provide better way to deal with servers which will shutdown inactive connections. At the same time, AlmostVPN on Panther now use "KeepAlive?" option, which is equivalent to "TCPKeepAlive" on Tiger.
As of 0.9.8 it is AlmostVPN can cope with passwords which contain '$' sign.

- Ticket #6. SSH session needs to employ TCPKeepAlive option
- Ticket #99. Need to be able to cope with dynamically assinged addresses (at least for ssh gateway)
