Almost VPN Version 0.9 Beta 1 Release Notes

Supported Platform - Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. Product gets developed and tested on Mac OX 10.4.3. To the best of author knowledge there is no any reason why it should not work on earlier versions. Please let me know if it worked for you on older versions.

What Does Not Work:

• You can not use more then one "Almost VPN" connection for given service at a time. What does it mean? You can configure 10 connections to different private e-mail servers, but you will be able to access only one of them at a time. On other side, you can mount as many different volumes as you wont as soon as they all come from the same server. This limitation will stay for recreational version of the product, but will be removed in professional version which is going to come out as a part of 0.9 Beta 2
• You can not access AFP volumes located directly on the server you are logging in with SSH. I hope to fix it in time for 0.9 Beta 2,
• You can not access SMB volumes at all. It will be fixed in time for 0.9 Beta 2,
• Some of the combo boxes don't get populated,
• "Manage Host Names" dialog does not do anything,
• "Almost VPN" connection for "Apple Remote Desktop" was not tested at all. I will appreciate a lot if someone who has ARD tried it and let me know.
