In this movie, AlmostVPN used to configure simple tunnel to web server running on the same host as SSHD

Configuring Secure e-mail (508Kb)

In this movie, we are using Host Aliasing feature of AlmostVPN to configure secure access to e-mail server. "email" profile created in this movie, will establish 2 tunnels ( one for IMAPS and another one for SMTP ) and than it will create host alias "email" in such a way that all traffic to email:imaps and email:smtp will go through ssh tunnel.

Tunneling to mySQL Server (772Kb)

In this movie, we are using Host Aliasing feature of AlmostVPN to configure secure access to mySQL server. Most of the mySQL servers configured to reject network connections from outside of the host. SSH tunnel could be used to circumvent this limitation without making any sacrifice in the area of security

This movie demonstrates how to use AlmostVPN to mount remote SMB share. In this particular case we are using SSH Server yasha to get to the SMB share on host yashavbsd.

In first movie I demonstrate how to configure AlmostVPN to setup connection to remote SSH server and than start Chicken Of VNC to connect to VNC running on the same server. If all goes well, you should end-up with Chicken opening connection to you server (once you have started the profile). Second movie shows how to configure "Alias Host" for you ssh server. In case of alias host, AlmostVPN will not start Chicken, but if you have configured Chicken to use Bonjour, you should see your ssh/vnc server in the list and than connect to it in "normal" way.
