Let us imagine following network configuration

Now you want to mount C: (shared as C$) drive from crawlingvarmint on your late PowerBook, while connected to the internet via WiFi courtesy of Starbucks and accessing your Office Network via SSH gateway jumpingrodent. How should you do it with the help of AlmostVPN?

Step 1

Create an SSH account to connect to jumpingrodent

Configure a SMB drive C$ on crawlingvarmint.

NOTE : User Name and Password are your user name and password in Windows world.

Step 3

If crawlingvarmint name can not be resolved into proper IP address, then you will need to configure 'host name' to 'ip address' translation. Click on http://www.leapingbytes.com/downloads/almostvpn/cookbook/images/configuration.png next to any Host Name combo box
