MapPocket first appeared on iTunes Store about 10 months ago. Since then we have been steadily adding new functionality, features and capabilities. What's New in Version 2.4:

• GPS Tracking in on-line and off-line modes (distance/avg speed/altitude) - push and hold GPS button to activate,
• Chinese localization (traditional and simplified),
• Map Language selector

Version 2.4 is almost ready to go into beta testing, so I think it is appropriate time to "spread the word" about new and exciting features it will bring to MapPocket.  Besides usual "minor usability improvements" and "major bug fixes"  v.2.4 will introduce 3 new features:

MapPocket belongs to the off-line maps subcategory of Travel/Navigation category on iTunes Store.

Most apps in this category use a single map source. However, MapPocket allows to use one of four: Google, Mapquest, Bing or OpenStreetMap.org. Moreover, there are even fewer apps in the off-line maps category that provide access to Google maps.

What's New in Version 2.3

• Multi-zoom level recording is fully implemented. Now it is possible to save map tiles for up to 6 different zoom levels.

So far my experience with the Apple App Store (both mobile and desktop) was rather uneventful. I submitted my first iPhone app 18 months ago. I keep submitting either new app versions or new apps once or twice a month since then. So far I was rejected 4 times (none were terminal).
